First tournament of the year, the Women’s varsity and JV won the UNOH Racers Kickoff Classic for $2000 and $1000 each!
The varsity women defeated the defending national champions, Webber University, in the 2 game baker total TV Finals 407-361. The JV team beat UNOH in the finals by a score of 391-278. The varsity men finished 9th and the men JV finished 5th. Shayna Kanemoto was the individual winner on the women’s side. Stacy Spitzer also made all tournament team with a 3rd place finish. Other top WSU women were Devan Hickey in 8th and Jenny Sheehan in 15th. Corey Flick was the top WSU male with a 12th place finish.
Women Win Again!
Second tournament of the year, Heartland Conference Tournament I at Beaver Vu, the women again won both the varsity and JV divisions. The men varsity finished 6th and the men JV were second. Top women were Shayna Kanemoto in 4th and Stacy Spitzer in 5th. Top men were Jared Sierra in 3rd and Mitch Boisel in 10th.
