Raiders Bowling Pride!

Welcome to Raiders Bowling and the new home of the Wright State University Bowling Club.

The Club was reborn in 2005 by Ty Davidson, Mandy Wilson and Jeff Fleck in order to give Wright State University student/bowlers the opportunity to compete at the collegiate level.

I am contacting you on behalf of two small nonprofit organizations in our community (Choices In Community Living and Resident Home Association.) We provide homes and other services for people with autism, cerebral palsy, Down Syndrome and other developmental disabilities. On June 6 we will be hosting our annual Bowl-A-Thon at Beaver Vu Bowl. All of the proceeds support our Wish Lists, providing those we serve with clothing, shoes, medical equipment, furniture, recreation and more when there are no other funds available. I don’t know if you have any of your bowlers still active at this time, but we would like to extend an invitation to any of your bowlers who might be interested in joining us at Beaver Vu for a night of enthusiastic bowling, either as individuals or as a team of four — or for the greatest experience, bowl on a team with some of our bowlers with disabilities. Information about our Bowl-A-Thon is on our website at http://www.partnersohio.com. Knowing this is short notice for this year, we would be so very happy to begin communication with you to see how we might partner with Wright State bowling for future activities and events, including ideas your bowlers might have for building relationships through bowling with people with developmental disabilities – bowl with us – coach some of our bowlers – mentor some of our bowlers – have bowling events with some of our bowlers, etc.

We usually fill 34-36 lanes at Beaver Vu but our ultimate goal is to fill all the lanes AND to get more bowlers from the community to join us so that we can share this great experience together. How great it would be to even have one or two teams from WSU with us this year!

I know firsthand how committed all of WSU is to community service, since I am a very proud alumni. One of my sons is also a WSU graduate, as is his wife. This past Saturday we attended graduation ceremonies where one of my nieces graduated so you can see WSU runs deep in our family.

Please feel free to contact me by email or by phone at 898-3655. WSU is just the boost we need to take our Bowl-A-Thon to the next level.

    Thank you for your consideration.
