:Edna Earl Boyett Bowling, 91, died February 17, at the Arbor Nursing Facility in Ridgeland. She had been the proprietress of Cottage Antiques, which she opened on North State Street in Jackson, Miss., in 1970.

Just one year after securing the Mid-American Conference regular-season championship and playing in the NIT, Bowling Green went 6-10 in conference games and was eliminated in the first round of the conference tournament. The Falcons ended the season on a four-game losing streak and went 14-16 overall.

Junior Kourtney Brown became just the second University at Buffalo women's basketball player ever to be named first-team All-Mid-American Conference in postseason honors announced Tuesday.
